Sophia Webster's Success

Since working at Brides Magazine, i've been looking at the other magazines that Conde Nast publish. Browsing the Vogue website, I came across some amazing news for one of my favourite shoes designers! The British Fashion Council has partnered with Sophia Webster by creating a design for a tote bag that will be featured at London Fashion Week in September.

The tote was inspired by Sophia Webster's Spring/Summer 2017 collection. The design is beautiful, and Webster has used my favourite colours, they compliment each other perfectly. Compared to the previous tote bags for London Fashion Week, this is definitely the best that I have seen! 

Brides Magazine Internship

My aim for this summer was to find myself another internship in a different department to my previous placements. An opportunity came along for me to intern at Conde Nast working for Brides Magazine as a Fashion Assistant for 4 weeks. 

My job consists of assisting the fashion and lifestyle Directors with photoshoots, I have to look for items that can be used in upcoming photoshoots and request them from brands. Hopefully i'll be going on a photoshoot whilst i'm at the company aswell! I'm looking forward to my placement as hopefully i'll get a feel for how Conde Nast operates and if this is something I would like to do in the future.

Nature meets Illustration

Meredith Wing (or you may know her as MooMooi) is always popping up on my Instagram feed. I followed her a year ago and have been obsessed ever since! Her artwork is beautiful and although the idea is very simple - it is so effective. #SomeFlowerGirls illustrations are my favourite, they are stunning. These combine drawn illustrations with fresh flowers and other found objects such as shells and leaves. The fresh flowers in this collection have been used to create fashionable outfits moulded to the illustrations. 

Each design has its own story and I cannot wait to see what else Meredith has up her sleeve.
